The "Father First...Friend Second" Seminar for Christian Men is intended to be mainly for Christian men. It is a half-day seminar, usually run between 8:30am and noon, but the timing is flexible to fit your group. Various fathering topics that are covered are: media influence, taking care of Mommy, spending time, mentoring your children, discipline, and priorities. Other topics may be covered and some of these may not be, depending on your particular seminar. The main purpose of the seminar is to give attendees a refresher in fathering according to the Bible. Significant reference will be made to the Bible with parallels drawn between events in the Bible and our present day practices. The seminar will be interactive at times, when appropriate. Fathers will be challenged to consider their own practices and habits while working through the seminar, as they realize the crucial nature of their role as father, and of the expectations put upon each father by God. What better example do we have for fathering than our own Heavenly Father? The cost of the seminar is $10 per attendee. A booklet for taking notes will be included, as will refreshments, according to the facilities of each individual venue.
