Camping Trip 2010

10 men, 24 children, 1 weekend. What an outstanding mix! Check out the pictures, realized what you missed, then make sure you register for next year's event! We saw 24 children make fast friends with each other, and 10 men getting along like brothers. It is hard to believe that so much could happen in a weekend - but it did. It was incredible how we seemed like a 34-unit family, especially when one of our little boys (mine) got lost for almost half an hour, children played with other fathers, fathers treated other children like their own, and some special times were had.

From playing "Tickle Monster" with about 15 kids, to swimming at the beach, seeing a HUGE spider, a skunk and a fawn, great talks around the campfire until the wee hours of the morning, lots of games, we ended it with a wonderful church service on Sunday morning where each father said something they loved and appreciated about each of their children, and then blessed them. We finished by having communion together as a family. That is my (very) brief summary of what happened. check out the pictures below for more fun times.

We all want to return next year, maybe with even more people!
