princess dinners
Princess Dinners are a monthly event where dad takes his little princess out for dinner. His "little princess" could be any age, but the point is to give dad some time out with his daughter where he can spend some time with her, and other dads and daughters, having a meal. The reasons we want dad to go on regular dates with his daughter are varied. First, it allows them to have something to look forward to together. Second, it is a great opportunity to show your girl that you want to spend time with her. Third, it is important to show your girl what to look for in a guy when she starts (gulp..) dating. As the man, you open the door for her, pull out her chair for her, maybe even buy her a little gift for each date. Just show her that she is special. We also are sure to include a bit of teaching time that can be interactive where the dads and girls can have discussion about a certain topic of the night.
It is a simple thing, but it is an extremely valuable time that you can spend with your daughter.
Princess Dinners occur on the last Tuesday of each month at The Market Buffet and Grill, 141 Mapleview Drive West in Barrie, Ontario, starting at 6 pm. If you would like to attend, please let me know so we can be sure to save a place for you. It doesn't get any easier (or tastier!) than this and can mean the world to your daughter for both the short term and long term.
