knight nights
Knight Nights takes its name from our desire to raise our boys up to be modern-day knights. Young men who, in the words of Robert Lewis, reject passivity, accept responsibility, lead courageously and expect the greater reward. Raising our boys in this way means that they must be around their dads when their dads are acting like that. Knight Nights are set up for dads to do things with their sons. These events can take the form of a late night barbecue, a tobogganing day, a movie night, floor hockey - anything that we can think of! Each event, however, has a teaching element to it where we spend a few minutes teaching the young boys principles of being a man. The events revolve around a full-size sword, something that the boys always find fascinating, that we use for illustrative purposes.
During any of these nights, a father can be 'knighted' in an official ceremony, in the presence of his son. We have had four 'knightings' so far, and they have proven to be immensely powerful and inspiring for all involved. Keep looking back to this page or sign up for our email list to be in the know when and where the next Knight Night will take place.
